I am husband to the fair Kimberly, and Dad to Izzy and Rose.  Never thought I’d get here, but I did it; being a family man is my favorite thing. I also enjoy ice cream, thin-crusted pizza, mostly hating technology while loving Netflix, and riding my bike. I took up surfing when we lived in Santa Barbara, CA; I now know what all the fuss is about.  When enough people start buying my books, I’ll spend time going to new places, doing  yoga on various beaches with Kim, and surfing with Izzy and Rose.  For now, I’m working with “at risk” high schoolers in rural New Hampshire.  We decided to move back to our roots to raise our kids closer to our family.  The New England weather is fiercely beautiful, and I feel at home in more obvious seasonal changes.  Humility is something to be nurtured if one’s goal is a more loving and kind world.  A winter storm that shuts off the electricity for several days is a great way to nurture humility.
